Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

  • Manage and lead a team of 9+ direct reports.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to enhance team performance, addressing opportunities for improvement.
  • Influence hiring, promotions, and assignments while ensuring alignment with company policies.
Sales & Merchandising Excellence

  • Collaborate with Area Sales Managers and Key Account personnel to optimize product placement and sales.
  • Ensure quality assurance through regular trade visits and account checks for product freshness and merchandising standards.
  • Proactively sell Cone Distributing products in collaboration with the sales team, ensuring execution of national, local, and chain marketing programs.
Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Conduct monthly and bi-weekly meetings with team members to set and track sales goals.
  • Provide written feedback and next steps after each market visit with Area Sales Managers.
  • Monitor and execute cooler resets and merchandising strategies for optimal product visibility.
Supplier & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with supplier representatives and Red Bull/Non-Alcoholic Brand Managers to meet volume, distribution, and merchandising standards.
  • Actively participate in supplier meetings and planning sessions to align on objectives.

Operational Excellence

  • Work closely with delivery and warehouse teams.
  • Lead morning schedules, manage call-outs, and ensure all team members are present and prepared for the day.
  • Oversee large-format crew drives, Pride Rides, and retail audits to maintain high standards
  • Track and communicate progress on sales execution updates to ensure alignment across departments.
Cultural Leadership

  • Uphold and enforce Team Cone’s cultural values through personal example and coaching.
  • Reinforce proper dress and appearance standards and maintain a positive workplace culture.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining focus and delivering results.
  • Experience with retail call standards and recommendations to address opportunities.Proficiency in cooler set organization, planogram reading, and space planning.
Communication and Technology

  • Exceptional communication skills for engaging with team members, suppliers, and retail personnel.
  • Proficiency in mobile devices (iPhones, iPads) and basic computer programs like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to use databases and interpret syndicated information (Nielsen, IRI) to inform sales strategies.
Leadership and Team Building

  • Proven ability to lead and prioritize tasks for both personal and team success.

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2-year college degree preferred. Will consider in field experience + education.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the beverage/ distribution industry.
